Ingrid has over 20 years of HR experience. She has held various positions in different industries including insurance, banking, property management and biotech. She joined Genentech in 1999 and since then has held different roles of increasing responsibility. In 2003, she was appointed the director of Genentech’s corporate staffing organization and led that function through Genentech’s largest headcount growth. She joined the North America Commercial Operations organization in January 2010 and is accountable for leading the people strategy for this business group and leading a team of HR professionals. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of San Francisco and an MBA from Notre Dame de Namur University.

Holly Dalton, Associate Director of Recruitment of Graduate Business Program, Saint Mary’s College
Holly Dalton is the Associate Director of Recruitment of Graduate Business Programs at Saint Mary's College. With 10 years of higher education experience, Holly has previous worked as the Associate Director of Recruitment at Presidio Graduate School. Prior to the Presidio, Holly was employed at Stanford University and an Admissions Specialist at San Francisco State University. She graduated from San Francisco State University with her Bachelor's degree in Cultural Anthropology and Master's degree in Public Administration. Holly aims to provide high-level service to prospective students, ensuring they have a positive and rewarding experience.

Helen Summers, Director MLT MBA Program, Management Leadership for Tomorrow
Helen Summers is the Director for MLT’s MBA Programs. Prior to attending business school, Helen worked for Johnson & Johnson (J&J) as a Senior Financial Analyst. She began her five year career with J&J as part of the Financial Leadership Development Program (FLDP). Her rotations included Finance and Accounting positions within Ethicon Inc. in Somerville, NJ, McNeil Consumer near Philadelphia, PA, and Cordis in Miami, FL. Through these rotations, Helen gained valuable experience by managing the $50 million Motrin Franchise marketing expenses, as well as analyzing the financial impact of new initiatives in the production process of cardiac catheters and stents. As a graduate of FLDP, Helen returned to the corporate headquarters of J&J where she helped develop a new financial reporting system and managed the $160 million budgets of the company’s CEO and CFO. Additionally, she partnered with the 13 top executives within the corporate management (CEO) and corporate finance (CFO) divisions to accomplish objectives of each finance department. Helen also managed the $300 million budget and expenses for Johnson & Johnson’s Corporate Executive Compensation program that served the top 100 corporate executives.
Helen holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, where she discovered her passion for increasing the enrollment of minorities at the top MBA programs. Due to her significant involvement in admissions efforts and minority outreach, Helen was the recipient of the Bert King Fellowship and the HBS Student Association Award. She is also a graduate of Southern Illinois University, where she earned a BS in Accounting and was a division I scholarship tennis player for four years.
Helen is a Certified Public Accountant and resides in Chicago, IL.

Roberta A. LaPorte, Founder and Principal of RAL & Associates
Roberta (Bobbie) LaPorte, is Founder and Principal of RAL & Associates, a consulting firm providing leadership and market development services to technology, financial services and healthcare organizations. RAL & Associates produces their signature “Getting to the Top of Your Game” program that integrates the mental strategies and behaviors of accomplished athletes and extraordinary leaders, and the award-winning “When She Speaks” – Women in Leadership Series, sponsored by Charles Schwab, IBM, PG&E and McKesson Corporation.
Before founding RAL & Associates, Ms. LaPorte served in GM, COO and CMO roles in several Fortune 50 companies, including IBM, GE, Citigroup and United Healthcare. A nationally-recognized expert on the powerful relationship between physical fitness and career success, she is an accomplished triathlete and multi-sport coach. Bobbie is currently training for her fifth Ironman triathlon. When she is not coaching executives or Ironman triathletes, she proudly serves on a number of Bay Area non-profit Boards and happily rescues Golden Retriever dogs.

Jud Walsh, Director of Business Development, San Francisco Business Times
Jud Walsh is the Director of Business Development for the San Francisco Business Times. He has been with the publication for four years and is considered to be the face of the Business Times in the Bay Area market place.
Facilitating workshops for job seekers is one of the main focuses Jud has at the Business Times: He has presented at transition service companies throughout the Bay Area including organizations such as Lee Hecht Harrison, Robert Half International, Right Management and DBM. He also speaks regularly at branch offices of the state-run Employment Development Department (E.D.D.) including Experience Unlimited and East Bay Works One-Stops. Jud also speaks at colleges and universities throughout the Bay Area including SF State, Mills College, St. Mary’s College and Stanford.
In addition to Jud’s responsibilities at the SF Business Times he also volunteers with a number of job-transition groups including the SF Job Forum and CPC’s Job Connections. He also facilitates monthly meetings for the San Francisco chapter of Executives Network, a national peer-to-peer network for executives in career transition.
Prior to joining the Business Times Jud was an event producer in the Bay Area planning and promoting business symposiums, expos and a variety of lectures series. Prior to that Jud was the marketing director for the Northern California PGA.
Jud lives in Marin and has been a long-time volunteer with Young Life/Marin. He also enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking, skiing and appreciates the tremendous beauty and splendor that Northern California has to offer.

Venture Capitalist: Gustavo Alberelli , Kennet Partners, Director, Silicon Valley
Gustavo focuses on investments in software, Internet and technology-enabled services. He works extensively with portfolio companies on optimizing the efficiency of their respective sales models.
Gustavo joined Kennet in 2005 and brings a decade of experience working with high-growth technology companies from different vantage points, including financial advisor, employee, and venture investor. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of AcademixDirect and TradingPartners and as a Board Observer at Intelepeer.
Gustavo started his venture capital career at Trinity Ventures where he primarily worked with seed and pre-revenue technology companies. Prior to venture capital, Gustavo worked in marketing and business development at Saltare, an enterprise software company funded by DFJ and Sutter Hill. He began his career in the technology investment banking division of Robertson Stephens.
Gustavo received a BA degree from Swarthmore College and an MBA from Columbia Business School. He speaks Spanish fluently.

Angel Investor: Tom Cervantes, Silicon Valley Angel Investor and Corporate Lawyer, Business Counsel Law Group LLP
Tom Cervantes is active in the Silicon Valley angel investor community, having founded the Harvard Angels (alumni angel group for HBS NorCal and Harvard Club SF) and the Golden Gate Angels. With regard to his angel activities, Tom focuses on the Internet, computer, communications and networking sectors (sample early stage investments include Friendster (acquired 2010), Open Table (IPO 2009), Geonet (acquired by Level3), Specialty’s Café & Bakery, Virtual Design (acquired by Phoenix Technologies), Knowledgeweb (acquired by iVillage), Seesmart, Everloop and Hip-Hop Enterprises, Inc. among others).
In addition to his angel activities, Tom is a corporate lawyer and provides corporate and financial structuring legal advice to startups and investors as the co-founder of Business Counsel Law Group LLP. Tom has over 18 years experience working as a lawyer in the venture capital and startup technology company field in Silicon Valley, with a focus on helping CEOs of startup and established companies, angels and venture capitalists navigate issues concerning new entity choice/formation, venture financing, securities, capital structure planning, private placements, mergers and acquisitions, and licensing transactions.
Prior to co-founding Business Counsel Law Group, Tom was a corporate partner in the national law firms of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP and Thelen Reid & Priest LLP. In addition to his legal career, Tom worked as an Auditor with the National Association of Securities Dealers, running oversight and conducting securities law enforcement audits for 50 small to mid-size investment banks from Los Angeles to San Diego.

Entrepreneur: Giovanni Gonzalez, Founder & CEO, Latinos A Morir
Giovanni is the founder and CEO of the exclusive social network for lovers of Latin American culture, Latinos A Morir LLC (LAM). LAM currently has around 3,000 members and connects its members via social events including dinners, parties, fundraisers, professional development seminars, and trips. In addition, LAM helps key brands (Comcast, Verizon, FIJI, and others) connect with an upscale and an educated Latino demographic.
Giovanni is also currently pursuing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley with a focus in Sensor Design and Robotics. His thesis project involves designing methods to help detect degradation of in-situ underground power distribution cables.
Pursuing his passion to give back to the community, Giovanni is the Co-Founder/Co-President of the non-profit, EDGEucation, whose mission is to reduce the educational achievement gap for minority groups in the Bay Area. EDGEucation specializes in three programs: mentorship, career day, and university visit days and currently supports 80 high school students and 45 mentors.
Prior to his Bay Area projects, Giovanni worked in New York City and Los Angeles as an Operation Research Associate at ZS Associates, a management-consulting firm. He was involved in Brand Planning, Portfolio Management, and Sales Force Sizing for some of the top five pharmaceutical companies in the US and in Latin America.
Giovanni earned an MS (2005) and a BS (2002) in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley graduating as top student with the Department Citation Award. He also earned the Management of Technology Certificate from UC Berkeley Haas School of Business.

Miguel Colon, Managing Partner, Sky to Street Ventures
Miguel is the managing partner of Sky To Street Ventures, where he oversees the firm's investment and acquisition strategy. He has served in various executive positions in the technology industry for both public and private companies. Miguel formed merger and acquisition groups for two publicly traded companies and has managed several mergers, acquisitions, and public and private capital formations. Miguel is an Adjunct Faculty member at Chabot College where he helped design the College's Entrepreneurship Program and teaches Entrepreneurship. Colon is President of the San Francisco chapter for the National Society of Hispanic MBA's (NSHMBA), an organization focused on furthering Latino professionals through graduate education. Colón received his Master's of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelors of Arts in Management from St. Mary's College of California.

Gary Jeung, Senior Director, Renewable Energy, Pacific Gas and Electric Company
Gary Jeung is Senior Director of Renewable Energy at Energy Procurement for Pacific Gas and Electric Company. He is responsible for the commercial and policy activities related to renewable energy, which includes taking the action needed for PG&E to comply with the state’s Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) targets. His areas of focus include energy contracting, investments, resource development, policy and emerging technologies, all with respect to renewables.
Gary has 30 years of experience in the energy field which includes contracting, trading, analysis, planning and deal structuring. He has been a director within PG&E’s Energy Procurement organization since 2003, and has held similar positions in PG&E’s unregulated businesses and with an energy start-up company.
Gary holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA with a finance emphasis from UC-Berkeley.

Michelle Ronco, MBA - Program Director, Corporate Governance & Board Leadership Development XCEO, Inc.
As the Program Director of Corporate Governance & Board Leadership Development, Ms. Ronco led the development and release of XCEO's Online Extreme Personal Leadership Tools. Ms. Ronco also designed and created XCEO's Enlightened Corporate Governance Board & Director Evaluation Program intended for use in corporate boardrooms around the globe. A completely Web-based program with fifteen different on-line evaluation exercises, the program provides a reflective and creative evaluation process.
Ms. Ronco is a member of XCEO's research team in addition to being the principal publisher of the books Corporate Rise and Compliance & Conviction. For over six years, she has participated in many facets of the XCEO organization including idea creation, researching and editing.
Currently, Ms. Ronco is responsible for the development of, and oversight of XCEO's LinXsus Elite® and Premiere® Programs. These programs, intended for newly appointed directors or high-aspiration individuals seeking board service opportunities and support, serve as a lifeline for directors. This program includes XCEO's professional mentoring services, inclusion in XCEO's Search for Development program, an Individual Director Risk Module, as well as other personal brand concepts to provide a comprehensive experience to directors seeking improved boardroom effectiveness.
Previous to joining the XCEO team, Ms. Ronco worked for Morgan Stanley as a Financial Advisor and was Assistant Web Master for Santa Clara University's Leavey School of Business website.
Michelle earned her MBA with an emphasis on Finance and International Business from Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, California. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce (BSC) in Economics and Operations and Management Information Systems from Santa Clara University. She is on the board of directors of the Mexican American Community Services Agency (MACSA), and is a member of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs and National Association of Women MBAs.

Carolyn Crandall, Vice President, Worldwide Marketing, Riverbed Technology
Carolyn Crandall is a veteran marketer with over 25 years experience leading high performance marketing and sales teams in the IT industry. In her current role as Vice President of Worldwide Marketing for Riverbed Technology, Carolyn manages Riverbed’s communications strategy, overseeing the company’s positioning, branding and marketing communications, as well as directing customer, channel and alliance partner programs and their associated growth initiatives.
Carolyn has held executive level positions and led the marketing efforts for many of Silicon Valley’s elite tech companies including i365, A Seagate Company, Juniper Networks, Cisco Systems, National Semiconductor, and Hyundai Electronics. She attended Santa Clara University and currently serves on the ASAP Executive Board – Silicon Valley Chapter.

Mario Castañeda, National Director of Clinical Technology, Kaiser Permanente Medical Care Program
Mario’s rich experience in health care technology spans over 30 years and he is currently leading the largest US private program that supports the strategic acquisition and implementation of medical device technology for the Kaiser Permanente organization. Kaiser serves 8.6 million members in nine states and the District of Columbia with 153,000 employees, 13,000 physicians, 32 Hospitals, 413 Medical Office Buildings, and annual revenues of $42.1B.
Mario is active in the global health care delivery community as a strategic and technical volunteer consultant for the World Health Organization, and the Pan American Health Organization. He shares his expertise with ministries of health of several countries in Asia and Latin America in the effective investment in health care technologies that support the delivery of their Ministry’s missions.
Over the span of his career Mario has started and lead professional and community organizations. He is co-founder of the Kaiser Permanente Latino Association, and Charter Board member of the National Hispanic Employee Association, and the American Association of Health Care Executives. Currently he is the president-elect of the American College of Clinical Engineering. In his community he is the past president of the Latino Council of Marin, and co-founder of the Latino Film Festival of Marin.
Mario holds undergraduate engineering and organizational development degrees from San Francisco State University and the University of San Francisco respectively. His MBA is from the Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
